Aquaponics Gardening

Aquaponics

Aquaponics = hydroponics (water based planting)+ aquaculture (fish cultivation).

It is described in this New York Times article as a form of sustainable agriculture, which requires 80 - 90 per cent less water than traditional crop growing methods.

Tilapia and trout are the main fish used for the "fish cultivation". Pacu (South America fresh water fish) is the latest fish type used for "fish cultivation".
